Sahara Dust Storm Lunge in the US, Deteriorating the Condition of Covid-19 Patients

US - Sahara dust storms in the United States. This phenomenon makes the Sahara dust cloud massive, causing air quality problems in the local area.

Reported by Nypost, a large Sahara dust cloud that caused air quality problems in the Caribbean hit the US for the first time on Thursday, according to the report.

A sizable lump of thick dust hit the coast of the Mississippi bay after moving thousands of miles from the African desert, according to WJTV based in Jackson.

This phenomenon seems increasingly widespread. The storm was reportedly moving through Florida.

"This is the most important event in the past 50 years," said Pablo Méndez Lázaro, an environmental health specialist at the University of Puerto Rico.

Nicknamed "Gorilla Dust Cloud" for its amazing size, satellite images show storms darkening the sky and rolling northwest Thursday morning. It also seems to be heading to Louisiana and parts of Texas.

According to experts, this phenomenon caused air quality in the Caribbean to reach "dangerous" levels when sweeping the area on Wednesday.

Health officials warn that weather events can weaken the respiratory system of people struggling against Covid-19.
